Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Used oil collecting and extracting device (V.A.G 1782)

Removing

-

Drain coolant. Refer to => [ Cooling System, Draining and Filling ] See: Cooling System/Service and Repair/Procedures or, in countries with hot
climates, remove the after-run coolant pump (V51) => [ After-Run Coolant Pump ] See: Cooling System/After-Run Coolant Pump/Service and
Repair/After-Run Coolant Pump.

Remove bolt - 1 - and nut - 3 - and lock carrier left brace - 2 -.

Open clamp and remove coolant hose - 1 - and, if necessary, - 2 - from the oil cooler.

Place used oil collection and extraction device ( V.A.G 1782) under engine.

Remove bolts - arrows - and oil cooler.

Installing
