A/C Unit Air Intake Housing

A/C Unit Air Intake Housing

‹› Air Conditioning (A/C) units which have an additional connection for the glove compartment cooling are being installed. On vehicles without

glove compartment cooling, this connection is sealed with a plug. Refer to => [ Glove Compartment Cooling ] See: Description and
Operation/Glove Compartment Cooling. Make sure that the correct right radiator housing and air intake housing are installed.

Removing

-

Switch on the ignition.

-

Set direction of air flow to the A/C control head climatronic control module (J255) to "DEF" (toward the windshield).

Move the passenger seats as far back as possible.

-

Switch off ignition.

-

Remove glove compartment.

-

Removing right (passenger) footwell vent. Refer to => [ Right Footwell Vent ] See: Air Register/Service and Repair/Right Footwell Vent.

Remove the screw clips - A - and remove the insulation mat - B -.

-

Remove screws - A -.
