Interior Temperature Sensor Fan
‹› The same interior temperature sensor fan (V42) - B - is currently installed in both versions of the Air Conditioning (A/C) control head climatronic
control module (J255) ("Basis" - E - and " Comfort" - F -) The blowers run at different RPM's (approximately 2500 to 3200 RPM on the "Basis"
A/C system and approximately 2800 to 3500 RPM on the "Comfort" A/C system) due to the different installation locations of the A/C control
head. Refer to => Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System VAS 5051 in "Guided Fault Finding" function.
‹› Depending on the version of the A/C control head climatronic control module (J255) there may be a molded seal - C - present; if necessary
reinstall one again.
Removing

Remove the A/C control head climatronic control module (J255). Refer to => [ Climatronic Control Module ] See: Control Module
HVAC/Description and Operation.

Remove screws - A -.

Remove the interior temperature sensor fan (V42 ) - B - out of the A/C control head climatronic control module (J255).
Installing
Installation is carried out in the reverse order, when doing this note the following.

When installing interior temperature sensor fan ( V42), do not press on the fan wheel - D -, hold fan firmly at housing instead.

Check Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) memory of A/C control head climatronic control module (J255) and erase any displayed malfunction if
necessary. Refer to => Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System VAS 5051 in "Guided Fault Finding" function.
