‹› The oil filter seal - A - normally stays in the transmission. 

‹› The seal must be removed first to replace the oil filter.

‹› The same seal can be reused if the old oil filter is also reused.

If the oil filter is replaced, the following must also be observed.

‹› Only replace the oil filter when it is damaged.

‹› With high mileage vehicles, replace the oil filter when the oil pan is removed.

Carefully remove the oil filter seal - A - from the transmission with a screwdriver.

‹› Do not damage sealing surface.

‹› The illustration shows the seal with the mechatronic unit removed. 

‹› The new oil filter comes with the seal installed.

Continuation for new and old oil filter.

Carefully press the intake neck on the new oil filter -  A - into the opening on the transmission until seated.

‹› When replacing with a new oil filter, press it into the transmission with the seal already installed.

Fill the transmission with fluid. Refer to => [ ATF, Draining Or Filling after Repair ] See: Fluids/Fluid - A/T/Service and Repair/0B6A
