REVISION HISTORY

This RVU has been proactively released to prevent the following condition from occurring in the vehicle:

^ Several malfunctions (no sound, interference, navigation not working, black screen. etc.) may occur on Audi vehicles with the third version of

Multimedia Interface (3G MMI) manufactured within a limited period. 3G MMI may also be referred to as MMI Navigation Plus. 3G MMI has the
control panel located in the center console and the main control knob is equipped with a joystick.

^ Rear side parking light bulb is inoperative on either left or right side.

^ MIL on.

This Required Vehicle Update (RVU) is in effect until January 31, 2011. After that date, this RVU will expire and no longer be in effect.

Vehicle must meet all of the following criteria:

^ Procedure is valid only for vehicles that show the 91E6 code in the ElsaWeb Campaign/Action Information screen on the day of repair.

^ Vehicle must be within the Limited New Vehicle Warranty.

^ Procedure must be performed within the allotted time frame stated in this Technical Service Bulletin.

^ Procedure must be performed on applicable vehicles in dealer inventory prior to sale.

Technical Background

The software of the 3G MMI must be updated. 3G MMI may also be referred to as MMI Navigation Plus. 3G MMI has the control panel located in the
center console and the main control knob is equipped with a joystick.

Vehicles were inadvertently equipped with 5-watt rear side parking light bulbs.
