Starter Motor: Service and Repair

Removing
-
With ignition switched off, disconnect battery ground wire. Refer to => [ Battery, Disconnecting and Connecting ] See: Battery/Service and
Repair/Removal and Replacement/Battery.
CAUTION!
Danger of damaging the flex joints in the front muffler.
‹› Do not bend the flex joints in the front muffler more than 10°.

Loosen the clamping sleeve - 1 -, push it toward the rear and tie up the left front muffler.

Remove the right engine mount.

Remove the nut - 1 - and free the ground wire on the engine support.

Remove the bolts - arrows - and the right engine support.
-
Disconnect the electrical connector - 3 - by sliding the retainer back and pressing the release down.
