1. Thrust Plate (VW 401). Order as illustrated. 

2. Sleeve (T40184/3)

3. Bonded rubber bushing

4. Punch (VW 408 A)

5. Washer (T40184/2)

6. Thrust Plate (VW 402). Order as illustrated.

Then slightly pull apart the thrust plates - 1 - and -  6 -.

-

Press the rubber bonded bushing approximately 2 mm out of the Sleeve (T40184/3).

a = 2 mm

Pull off the Punch (VW 408 A) and install the Punch (VW 411).

Mount the wheel bearing housing onto the Workshop Press (V.A.G 1290 A).

Mount the rubber bonded bushing (not shown in the illustration), the washer - 3 - and the sleeve - 2 - on the wheel housing bearing.
