Disengage the retaining tab - 1 - at the front cover -  3 -.

Remove the upper cover.

Disengage the retaining hooks in the - direction of the arrow  - and remove the front cover - 2 - downward from the guide bars - 1 - on the
interior rearview mirror base.

Remove the screw - 1 - and disengage the automatic high beam control module (J844) and the light recognition sensor (G399) - 2 - by pulling the
retaining tab - arrow - on the mirror base -  3 -.
