Rear Lid Trim, Removing and Installing

Rear Lid Trim, Removing And Installing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

-

Trim removal wedge 3409

-

Pry lever 80-200

Removing

-

Remove upper center trim from rear lid.

-

Remove upper left and right trim from rear lid.

-

Remove left and, if present, right luggage compartment lights - 1 -.

-

If present, unclip Rear Lid Lock Button (in luggage compartment) E406 - 2 -.

-

Disconnect electrical connectors.

-

Unclip inner left and right tail lamp cover with Trim Removal Wedge 3409.

-

Remove bolts - 4 -.

-

Open warning triangle cover - 5 - in - direction of arrow -.

-

Remove warning triangle and remove 2 screws below - 6 -.

-

Remove remaining lower trim screws - 3 - on rear lid.

-

Carefully remove lower trim from rear lid by loosen trim clamps with Pry Lever 80-200.

-

Grasp between trim and rear lid and disengage remaining clamps.
