Lower A-pillar Trim, Removing And Installing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Trim removal wedge 3409

Removing

-

Remove bar piece.

Driver side only

-

Pull operating lever - A - in - direction of arrow 1 - , hood is released.
At the same time, operating lever is guided out of guide in lower A-pillar trim - C -.

Insert a small screwdriver into gap between operating lever - A - and clip - B -.

-

Pry clip - B - out of operating lever - A -.

-

Then, remove operating lever from mount in mounting bracket in - direction of arrow 2 -.

Procedure for both sides of vehicle

Remove sill panel strip - D - from sill in transition area from B-pillar to lower A-pillar trim.

Drivers side

Remove screws - arrows -.
