Passengers side

Here, a retaining clip is installed instead of a screw - arrow -. Remove retaining clip. 

Procedure for both sides of vehicle

Remove lower A-pillar trim from body with Trim Removal Wedge 3409. 

Installing

Installation is reverse of removal. Observe the following when doing so:

NOTE:

-

If trim clamps remain in body mounting points, remove these and insert them in trim.

Check clamps for damage or deformation, replace if necessary. 

Drivers side

-

Tighten screw - arrow -. 

Passengers side

Here, a retaining clip is installed instead of a screw - arrow -. This retaining clip must be installed.

Procedure for both sides of vehicle

-

Secure sill panel strip to sill.

-

Install door seal lip over lower A-pillar trim.

-

Install bar piece.

Driver side only

-

Slide clip all the way into operating lever.

-

Push operating lever onto mount in mounting bracket and lock the operating lever. 

Ensure clip engages with audibly.

-

Before closing hood, check function of operating lever and release cable.
