Luggage Compartment Side Trim, Removing and Installing

Luggage Compartment Side Trim, Removing And Installing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

-

Trim removal wedge 3409

Removing

-

Remove luggage compartment floor.

-

Remove rear shelf - 1 -.

-

Fold second row backrests - 2 - and, if present, 3rd row backrests - 3 - down.

-

Remove rear cross panel trim.

-

If present, remove securing eyes - 4 -.

-

Remove gap cover - 5 -.

-

Remove C-pillar trim - 6 - from body.

NOTE:
-

C-pillar trim can be left hanging on seat belt webbing - 7 -.

-

To remove C-pillar trim, wheel housing trim must be removed from body.

-

In order to remove trim, belt webbing must be guided out from seat belt through trim. That is not necessary when removing trim.

-

Remove screw - arrow - and remove luggage compartment side trim - 8 - from D-pillar.

-

If present, disconnect electrical connectors. 

Installing

Installation is reverse of removal. Observe the following when doing so:

NOTE:

-

If trim clamps remain in body mounting points, remove these and insert them in trim.

-

Check clamps for damage or deformation, replace if necessary.

-

After installing luggage compartment side trim, attach C-pillar trim to body.

-

Then attach wheel housing trim to body.
