Wheel Housing Trim, Removing and Installing

Wheel Housing Trim, Removing And Installing

Wheel housing trim, releasing from C-pillar and attaching (not removing)

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

-

Trim removal wedge 3409

Removing

CAUTION: Observe safety precautions for work on airbags.

Vehicles with fixed second row

-

Remove corresponding second row seat.
-

Seat beach (two-thirds bench)

-

Individual seat

Vehicles with fore and aft adjustable second row

-

Move second row seat forward on side to be removed.

Procedure for all vehicles

-

Pull wheel housing trim out of mounts in body with Trim Removal Wedge 3409.

-

Remove belt anchor/seat belt screw - 1 - on body.

-

Remove wheel housing trim - 2 - and pull seat belt - 3 - through opening - arrow A - in trim.

Installing

Installation is reverse of removal. Observe the following when doing so:

CAUTION:  Observe safety precautions for work on airbags.

NOTE:

-

If trim clamps remain in body mounting points, remove these and insert them in trim.

-

Check clamps for damage or deformation, replace if necessary.
