Left Footwell Flap Motor V108 - "Comfort" Version, Removing and Installing

Left Footwell Flap Motor V108 - "Comfort" Version, Removing And Installing 

NOTE: 

-

Installed only in vehicles with "Comfort" version A/C system

-

On vehicles with "Basic" version front A/C control head Climatronic Control Module J255, left and right footwell flaps are operated by the Left
Footwell Flap Motor V108 (both left and right flaps are connected to each other via a shaft, motor is installed at right on heating A/C unit).

Left Footwell Flap Motor V108 - "Basic" version, removing and installing

-

Left Footwell Flap Motor Position Sensor G139 is installed in Left Footwell Flap Motor V108.

Removing 

-

Remove retaining plate - C - with Left Footwell Flap Motor V108 and Left Temperature Flap Motor V158.

-

Mark the control motors if necessary (versions vary Parts Catalog).

-

Remove bolts - D - from Left Footwell Flap Motor V108 - A - and remove motor.

Installing 

Remove control motor on retaining plate.

-

Install retaining plate - C - with Left Footwell Flap Motor V108 and Left Temperature Flap Motor V158.

NOTE:  Check the lever position of the control motors before installing retaining plate, the retaining plate can only be installed correctly when it
is located in the service position.

-

Install the removed components again in reverse order.

-

Check DTC memory of front A/C control head Climatronic Control Module J255 and erase DTCs displayed if necessary. Vehicle Diagnosis,
Testing and Information System VAS 5051 in "Guided Fault Finding" function.

-

Perform basic setting (and output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) if necessary) on the A/C system. Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information
System VAS 5051 in "Guided Fault Finding" function.
