Retaining plate with Defroster Flap Motor , Left Side Vent Motor and Left Center Vent Motor

‹› Only two control motors are installed on this retaining plate on vehicles with "Basic" version front A/C control head Climatronic Control Module

(J255). Left Center Vent Motor (V110) is not present, flaps for left and right side vents as well as flaps for left and right center vents are operated
by Left Side Vent Motor (V299) (left and right flaps are connected to each other via the shaft respectively, both shafts are connected to a lever) =>

‹› This retaining plate - B - can then only be removed and installed with instrument panel installed when the bolts - C - are not tightened too tightly.

Since on the other hand the connection of the lever on the control motors to the levers on the flaps cannot be checked with the instrument panel
installed, it makes sense to remove the instrument panel and remove and install the control motors with the retaining plate installed, despite the
great amount of work involved to remove and install the installed control motor.

Removing

-

Switch ignition on

-

Bring control motors into service position, perform basic setting of A/C system (display group "005") to do this.

As soon as control motors are located in service position, switch ignition off. 

‹› Control motors can only be re-installed in the service position after removal.

Remove lower left instrument panel trim.

-

Remove accelerator pedal module. 

-

Release relay carrier (with control modules) which is installed in left area next to heating & A/C unit and set it aside.

Remove retaining plate - C - with control motors (V108) and (V158) => [ Retaining Plate with Left Footwell Flap Motor and Left Temperature
