Discharge Air Temperature Sensor / Switch: Service and Repair
Evaporator Vent Temperature Sensor G263

Evaporator Vent Temperature Sensor G263 

Removing 

-

Switch ignition off

-

Remove glove compartment.

-

Disconnect connector - A - from Evaporator Vent Temperature Sensor G263.

-

Rotate Evaporator Vent Temperature Sensor G263 - B - approx. 90 degrees in direction of arrow.

-

Remove Evaporator Vent Temperature Sensor G263 - B - from heating A/C unit.

Installing 

-

Check seal - D - for damage and proper fitting.

-

Insert Evaporator Vent Temperature Sensor G263 - A - on proper side into heating A/C unit mount - C -.

NOTE:  An O-ring seal - D - is installed so that Evaporator Vent Temperature Sensor G263 fits without play in mount - E -.

-

Connect connector - B - from Evaporator Vent Temperature Sensor G263 - A -.

-

Install the remaining removed components again in reverse order.

Check DTC memory of front A/C control head Climatronic Control Module J255 and erase DTCs displayed if necessary. Vehicle Diagnosis,
Testing and Information System VAS 5051 in "Guided Fault Finding" function.
