Turn range control positioning motor - 1 - with gentle force clockwise around its own axle until motor axle can be gently pulled from headlamp
light unit ball joint - 3 -.
-

Axle pins are then in ball joint cut-outs - arrows -.

-

Remove headlamp beam adjusting motor from headlamp housing.

-

Remove adjustment nut - 2 -.

NOTE:  For purposes of illustration, components in illustration are shown without headlamp housing.

Installing 

Install in reverse order, observing the following:

-

Check whether ball joint - 3 - is inserted in headlamp light unit guide.

-

Slide headlamp height adjustment nut - 2 - on to ball joint.
-

The outer splines face toward range adjustment positioning motor.

-

Pull headlamp light unit in headlamp housing toward back and hold it firmly.

-

Audibly engage axle on range adjustment positioning motor in ball joint.
-

The axle pins must engage in cut-outs on ball joint - arrows -.

-

Position positioning motor bayonet connection - 2 - on headlamp housing.

-

Engage positioning motor counterclockwise on left headlamp and clockwise on right headlamp.

NOTE:  Ignore - arrow -.

Connect electrical connector - 1 - on headlamp range adjustment positioning motor.

-

Close housing cover.

-

Secure housing cover using locking slide.

-

Install headlamp.
