Multifunction Buttons

-

Switch off all electrical consumers.

-

Remove ignition key.

Removing

-

Remove driver's airbag Removal and Installation. 

-

Disconnect trim ring from steering wheel.

-

Disconnect harness connector - 1 - at button -  2 -.

-

Slide button - 2 - out of steering wheel in direction of arrow.

-

Turn button around.

-

Disconnect harness connector - 2 - to Tiptronic switch from multifunction button - 1 - and remove button.

Installing

-

Install in reverse order of removal.

Removal and installation of left multifunction button is identical.
