Left flange shaft oil seal, replacing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Slide hammer VW 771 

^

Pulling hook VW 771/37

^

Thrust piece T10256

^

Drift VW 295

^

Sealing grease G 052 128 A1

Removing 

-

On vehicles with air suspension, activate vehicle lifting mode.

-

Raise vehicle.

-

Remove left wheel.

-

Remove left drive axle from rear final drive.

-

Lay drive axle as far forward as possible.

Note: 
^

Make sure drive axle protective coating is not damaged.
