Airbag Control Module

Removing

CAUTION:  Observe safety precautions for work on airbags.

-

Switch off ignition.

-

Disconnect battery ground wire.

-

Remove center console storage compartment.

-

Remove Multimedia Control Head E380.

CAUTION:  Before handling airbag units (e.g. disconnecting electrical connector), the person handling it must "discharge static
electricity". This can be done by touching door striker, for example.

-

Remove nuts - 1 - (Qty. 3) from threaded pins.

-

Remove Airbag Control Module J234 - 2 - from threaded pins.

-

Open securing clip at connector - 3 -.

-

Remove connector - 3 -.

-

Remove control module - 2 - from center console.

Installing
