Removing

Remove shift mechanism. Refer to => [ Selector Mechanism, R Tronic ] See: Transmission and Drivetrain/Manual Transmission/Transaxle/Shifter
M/T/Service and Repair/Removal and Installation/Selector Mechanism, R Tronic.

Disconnect the three electrical connectors to the Selector Lever Sensor System Control Module (J587).

‹› Disconnect the electrical connector - 5 - to the Transmission Control Module (J217).

‹› Electrical connector - 6 - to the Sport Program Button (E541)

‹› Electrical connector - 7 - to the Selector Lever Transmission Range Display (Y5)
