Secure final drive on a repair stand.

Screw in two hexagon nuts M8 x 30 -A-.

When the nut is loosened the final drive must be supported (e.g. with universal gearbox mounting 1359/2 in conjunction with engine/gearbox lifter
VAG 1383 A).
