Lower A-Pillar Trim

Lower A-Pillar Trim

‹› Removal and installation is described for the driver side of the vehicle. The procedure on the passenger side is the same.

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Trim Removal Wedge (3409)

Removing

-

Remove the instrument panel side cover. Refer to => [ Instrument Panel Side Cover ] See: Dashboard / Instrument Panel/Service and
Repair/Instrument Panel.

Remove the driver side instrument panel cover. Refer to => [ Driver Side Instrument Panel Cover ] See: Utility Storage Compartment/Service and
Repair/Storage Compartments and Covers.

Remove the cable operating lever. Refer to => [ Cable Operating Lever ].  See: Cable Operating Lever

Remove the lower A-pillar trim bolt - 1 -.

Unclip the lower A-pillar trim - 2 - from the sill pane - arrow - using the trim removal wedge (3409).

Pull the lower A-pillar trim back and remove it from the upper A-pillar trim.

Installing

Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

‹› If the trim clamps remain in the body mounting points, remove them and insert them in the trim.

‹› Check clamps for damage or deformation, replace if necessary.
