Trim Panel: Service and Repair

‹› Removal and installation are same for right and left.
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
‹› Trim Removal Wedge (3409)
Removing
-
Remove the sill panel strip. Refer to => [ Sill Panel Trim ]. See: Sill Panel Trim

Remove the C-pillar trim. Refer to => [ C-Pillar Trim ]. See: C-Pillar Trim

Remove seatbench. Refer to => [ Bench Seat ] See: Seats/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Rear Seats.

Depending on the side, remove the 2/3 right backrest. Refer to => [ Backrest ] See: Seats/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Rear
Seats or the 1/3 left backrest => [ Backrest ] See: Seats/Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Rear Seats.

Remove the luggage compartment side trim. Refer to => [ Luggage Compartment Side Trim ] See: Doors, Hood and Trunk/Trunk / Liftgate/Trunk
/ Liftgate Interior Trim Panel/Service and Repair.

Unclip the side trim - 1 - beginning at the front using the trim removal wedge (3409) - arrows -.

Remove the rear belt anchor => [ Rear Belt Anchor ] See: Restraint Systems/Seat Belt Systems/Seat Belt/Service and Repair/Removal and
Replacement.

Thread the belt webbing with seat belt latch out through the belt extraction panel.

Versions with a treble speaker: Disconnect the electrical connector and remove the side trim.
Installing
Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:
‹› If any clamps and clips remain in the body, remove them and insert them in the trim.
‹› Check clamps and securing clips for damage or deformation, replace if necessary.

Thread the belt webbing with seat belt latch through the belt extraction panel.
