Trim Panel: Service and Repair
B-Pillar Trim

B-Pillar Trim

‹› Removal and installation are same for right and left.

Removing

CAUTION!
Follow the safety precautions for pyrotechnic components.

-

Remove the B-pillar trim. Refer to => [ B-Pillar Trim Piece ].  See: B-Pillar Trim Piece

-

Remove side trim. Refer to => [ Side Trim ].  See: Side Trim

-

Hold the belt webbing - 2 - to the side and remove the bolts - 3 -.

-

Remove the B-pillar trim - 1 - from the mount on the headliner - arrow -.

-

Remove the front belt anchor. Refer to => [ Front Belt Anchor ] See: Restraint Systems/Seat Belt Systems/Seat Belt/Service and Repair/Removal
and Replacement.

Thread the belt webbing with the locking tongue through the belt extraction panel and remove the B-pillar trim.

Installing

CAUTION!
‹› Follow the safety precautions for pyrotechnic components.

‹› Do not pinch the side curtain airbag when installing the B-pillar trim. 

Installation is reverse of removal, but note the following:

Thread the belt webbing with seat belt latch through the belt extraction panel.

Install the front belt anchor. Refer to => [ Front Belt Anchor ] See: Restraint Systems/Seat Belt Systems/Seat Belt/Service and Repair/Removal
and Replacement.

First insert the top of the B-pillar trim in the mount on the headliner and then tighten the bolts.
