Re-Setting Service Interval Display After Service W/O VAS5051

Re-setting service interval display after service without VAS5051

WARNING!
For re-setting without VAS5051, service is automatically set to a fixed interval value.

The service message must be reset after a service has been performed.

Re-setting the Service Reminder Indicator (SRI) can be performed with the VAG1551 Scant tool in the "adaptation" function.

The SRI can also be reset via the following procedure:

Switch ignition off.

Press reset button For trip odometer display in instrument cluster and hold.

Switch ignition on with button pressed.

-

Release button.

The following appears in display after releasing trip recorder: "SERVICE IN ????MI" or "SERVICE!".

Hold adjustment button For clock in instrument cluster pressed, until the message is reset to "SERVICE IN ????MI" or "SERVICE!"

The display reads: "SERVICE IN 10000 MI".

Switch ignition off.

NOTE:  For re-setting without VAS5051, service is automatically set to a fixed interval value (see table).
