3 Series E36 M3 (S50) CONVER
Preload the intake camshaft by rotating the eccentric shaft.
Do not tighten bearing-cap bolts at this time.
Mount end cover (VANOS bridge) on timing case, but do not
tighten bolts at this time.
Tension timing chain between crankshaft and VANOS gearbox
sprocket.
Ensure that timing chain between crankshaft and VANOS gearbox
sprocket is not loose.
Check whether sensor pin on chain wheel of VANOS transmission
aligns with marking on end cover.
RA Replacing all camshafts (S50 B30)
