Removing and installing/replacing rear
muffler (Z3 / S54)
Caution!
Support rear mufflers with lifter.
Release screw connections (1) between center muffler and rear
muffler.
Installation:
Check gaskets, replace if necessary.
Replace self-locking nuts.
Coat threads with -CRC- copper paste, refer to BMW Parts
Service.
Release screw (1).
Installation:
After full installation of exhaust system, align exhaust brackets
until free from tension by moving and then tighten down.
Release hexagon nuts (1).
