Replacing all main crankshaft bearing shells
(M43 / M43TU)
(engine dismantled)
Clean components before installation.
Caution!
Note grinding stage of crankshaft,
refer to Technical Data.
Version 1:
Oil spray nozzles in bearing seats.
Note:
Spray nozzles for cooling the pistons are installed in the
bearing seats of cylinders 2 to 5.
Version 2:
Oil spray nozzles on underside of cylinder.
Note:
Injection nozzles for cooling the pistons are installed on the
underside of the cylinder between the bearing seats.
In order to avoid the possibility of injury from the piston or
connecting rod, the location of spray nozzles is equipped with
special tool 11 7 320.
