Installation:

Use the old bolts for measuring backlash.

Tighten down bolts in sequence 1 ... 6.

Tightening Torque,

refer to Technical Data 11 27 1AZ.

Remove special tool 11 6 270.

Attach special tool 11 6 250 and measure backlash at
balancing shaft (1).

Align stylus of dial gauge so that it is parallel to centerline of
balancing shaft (1) and tooth flanks.

During backlash measurement, gently push balancing shaft (1)
forward so that the axial clearance does not distort the
measurement.

Note down backlash.

Pull back special tool 11 2 300 until flywheel is no longer
located in position.

Continue cranking engine in direction of rotation and repeat
backlash measurements at 120

°

 and 240

°

. Add the three backlash

readings together and divide by three to obtain the mean
backlash.

Note down backlash.
