M43TU B19 piston diameter 85 mm
Gently press oil scraper ring (U-Flex ring) out of piston ring groove
and look for joint.
Note:
The two-part oil scraper ring comprises the oil scraper ring
itself (U-Flex ring) and a support spring.
Carefully pull apart oil scraper ring (U-Flex ring) at joint and
remove towards top with support spring.
Installation:
First install oil scraper ring (U-Flex ring) with support spring
from above.
Caution!
The contact points of the oil scraper ring slip very easily over
each other during installation.
The contact points must be positioned precisely on top of
each other. If the contact points overlap, the oil scraper ring
will be damaged when the piston is installed.
Insert piston rings with the word "TOP" facing piston crown.
Measure axial clearance of piston rings in piston ring
groove (1 and 2):
Specified values, refer to Technical Data.
Note:
It is not possible to measure the axial clearance of the oil
scraper rings.
