Adjusting throttle cable for throttle actuator
(M43 engine)
Manual transmission:
Connect DIS or MoDiC to diagnosis socket and select Diagnostic
program/ Engine electrical system/Diagnosis requests.
1.
Accelerator pedal at idle stop
2.
Throttle in idling position.
3.
Unscrew adjusting screw (1) on throttle cable until idling
speed value of throttle potentiometer begins to change.
Adjust throttle position to 0%.
Screw in adjusting screw (1) 1/4 turn.
4.
Adjust adjustment screw at full-throttle stop of accelerator
pedal so that it rests on accelerator pedal at full engine
throttle and there is a throttle valve position of between 94%
and 98%.
5.
Lock M8 nut at full-throttle stop.
Automatic transmission:
Connect DIS or MoDiC to diagnosis socket and select Diagnostic
program/ Engine electrical system/Diagnosis requests.

4.
Adjust kick-down pressure point so as to establish a throttle
position of between 83% and 87%.
5.
Lock nut at kick-down stop.
6.
Checking kick-down:
Operate accelerator pedal over kick-down pressure point.
Throttle position must be between 94% and 98%.
