Additional angle frame set
E46/16 Four-wheel drive
Situation:
With the introduction of a new front axle carrier, an additional angle frame set and new
vehicle data sheets are required for professional body repairs. Here, a difference should be
made between the angle frame manufacturers CELETTE, CAR BENCH and CAR-O-
LINER.
Angle frame sets and vehicle data sheets can be called off from the launch of the E46/16
four-wheel drive.
CELETTE
The E46/16 additional angle frame set contains:
4 fixtures for supporting the vehicle with the front axle installed.
4 bushes for supporting the vehicle with the front axle removed.
The angle frame set for the E46/4 is used for all other application points.
CAR BENCH
The E46/16 additional angle frame set contains:
4 fixtures for supporting the vehicle with the front axle installed.
When the front axle is removed, the height dimension for the fixtures (5) changes in
comparison to the E46/4.
The angle frame set for the E46/4 is used for all other application points.
As an additional alternative, the universal straightening fixture set is recommended. To
perform repair work, the setup plan relevant to the vehicle (A 423 3 000) is the only
additional item required.
CAR-O-LINER
Data sheet 2:043 should be selected for repairs to the E46/16 four-wheel drive underbody.
Data sheet 602:027 should be selected for repairs to the E46/16 four-wheel drive upper
body.
Procedure:
The angle frame sets will be stocked as store tools and will only be delivered to order.
