3 Series E46 316ti (N42) COMP
Unclip all cables passing over manifold (1).
Unclip battery positive lead on oil dipstick guide tube.
Unlock and disconnect plug on throttle housing and on differential
pressure sensor.
Note:
For purposes of clarity, this work step is shown on the engine after
it has been removed.
Unlock and detach hose of tank vent valve from manifold.
Release screw (1) from below.
Release screw (2) from above.
Cars without A/C system:
Release screws (1 and 2) from below.
Detach vent hose (1).
Release nuts (2).
Release screw connections of manifold from cylinder head.
Lift manifold off studs and remove towards top.
Installation:
Check gaskets (1) on manifold (2), replace if necessary.
