3 Series E46 330d (M57) TOUR
Removal:
Removal of cylinder head is described separately from installation.
Assembly sequence for removal and installation is different.
Note:
Some illustrations show the engine removed.
Remove engine shielding at bottom.
Slacken screws (1) on turbocharger bracket.
Detach pressure line (1) with special tool 13 5 020 .
Tightening torque, 13 53 8AZ
.
Installation:
Make sure rubber mount (2) is correctly positioned.
Unfasten screws (3).
Remove pressure accumulator (4).
Unfasten exhaust turbocharger from exhaust manifold.
Installation:
Replace seal.
Coat threads with copper paste.
Tightening torque, 11 65 1AZ
.
