Secure torque converter against slipping out (M52TU B28, M54
B25):
-
Insert special tools 24 4 131 and 24 4 135 in opening of
transmission housing.
-
Clamp torque converter by turning knurled screw
Secure torque converter against slipping out (all others):
-
Insert special tools 24 4 131 and 24 4 134 in opening of
transmission housing.
-
Clamp torque converter by turning knurled screw
Unfasten screws.
Tightening torque: 24 00 1AZ
.
Pull transmission of engine towards rear and lower.
Subsequent work on transmission:
Support transmission with special tool 24 0 180 on assembly
stand 00 1 450 .
