3 Series E46 M3 (S54) COUPE
Undoing adhesive bond (adhesive tape) between mirror glass and
servodrive:
Bayonet lock (1) must be fully unlocked, as shown in illustration.
Insert special tool 00 9 317 (trim panel wedge) between bayonet
lock (1) and housing edge (2) and lever out mirror glass (3).
Disconnect plug connection for mirror heating.
Installation:
Bayonet lock and guide pin (1) must not be damaged.
Do not touch or dirty adhesive area (2).
Cover (3) on adhesive tape must be fitted otherwise removal will
not be possible due to excessively large adhesive area.
Installation:
Fit mirror glass with guide pins (1) on servodrive mounts.
Slide bayonet lock to left until hole is vertical.
Check function.
