3 Series E92 316i (N43) COUPE
Note:
Chain tensioner (1) and guide rail (2) can be separated from
each other only after removal.
Lift guide rail (2) over drive shaft (3) and remove.
Note:
New components are fitted with transportation locks.
Remove special tool 11 3 340 or transportation lock only after
installation of chain tensioner.
Unclip, turn and unhook chain tensioner.
Important!
Chain tensioner is under spring pressure!
Press clamping rail (1) and chain tensioner (2) together, remove
special tool 11 3 340 .
Slowly and carefully relieve tension on clamping rail (1) and chain
tensioner (2).
