5 Series E34 520i (M50) TOUR
Tighten bolts of exhaust camshaft sprocket in two steps as
specified.
For tightening torque,
refer to Technical Data
Remove plug mandrel, special tool 11 2 300 and special tool
11 3 240.
Crank engine twice in its direction of rotation.
Hold crankshaft in TDC position with Special Tool 11 2 300.
Caution!
Do not turn the engine back.
Remove special tool prior to operating engine.
Check adjustment of camshafts.
Fit special tool 11 3 240 to camshaft on cylinder 6.
Note:
special tool 11 3 240 must abut flush with cylinder head.
