Install piston, refer to 11 25 530

Note:

To check connecting-rod bearing play, use old connecting-rod
bolts.

With piston in BDC position, fit Special Tool 00 2 590
(Plastigage Type PG1) to the oil-free crankshaft.

Caution!

Do not twist connecting rod or crankshaft.

Tighten connecting-rod screws with Special Tool 00 9 120 or
11 2 110.

For tightening torque, refer to Technical Data 11 24 1AZ

Remove bearing cover and read off bearing clearance,

refer to Technical Data, 

on width of pinched plastic thread with the help of the measuring
scale.
