Removing and installing or replacing chain
tensioning device (M51)
Remove gear-case cover, bottom, refer to 11 14 110
Press clamping piston down and secure with plug pin - Special
Tool 11 3 340.
Unscrew and remove chain tensioner.
Caution!
Tensioner pistons are under spring pressure.
When plug pins are removed, there is a risk of injury.
