Removing and installing / replacing fan
coupling (M51)
Caution!
Left-hand threads.
Use Special Tool 11 5 030 to hold pulley wheel in position and
unfasten union nut with Special Tool 11 5 040.
Remove fan and fan coupling from water pump and remove
together with fan shroud,
refer to 17 11 031
Installation note:
Tighten fan using Special Tool 11 5 040.
For tightening torque, refer to Technical Data 11 52 1AZ
Note:
40 Nm is equivalent to 30 Nm on torque-wrench scale.
Unscrew bolts.
Detach fan from fan coupling.
