Removing and installing / replacing coolant
thermostat (M51)
Draining off coolant,
refer to 17 00 005
Remove fan wheel with fan coupling and fan cowl,
refer to 11 52 020 / 17 11 031
Remove coolant hose from thermostat housing.
Remove cover for thermostat housing.
Remove thermostat.
Installation:
Bleed valve is secured in thermostat housing cover.
