5 Series E34 525td (M51) TOUR
Engine M51:
Remove cover from manifold.
Secure special tool 11 2 370 on intake pipe, rear.
Assemble special tool 00 0 200 and attach to special tool
11 2 370.
Tighten spindle.
Remove cross tube.
If necessary, unscrew holder for centre of gravity suspension.
Unscrew cross member.
Lower transmission by turning the spindle only enough that there
is no contact with the wall or heater connections (check visually).
Installation:
centring the transmission,
refer to MG 26.
Tightening torque,
refer to Technical Data 24 71 1AZ.
