Replacing radial seal for output flange (A4S
270R/ 310R)

Remove propeller shaft,

refer to 24 00 025 .

E46 with A4S 310R Remove propeller shaft,

refer to 26 11 000 .

Remove output flange.

Brace output flange with special tool 23 0 020 (retaining
wrench).

Unscrew collar nut with a wrench socket. Pull off output flange.

Lift out radial oil seal (1).

Lubricate sealing lip with ATF.

Drive in radial seal with special tool 23 1 370 (impact bush).

Mount and bolt output flange.

Tightening torque,

refer to Technical Data.

Check ATF level again, correcting if necessary.
