Replacing radial oil seal for output flange
Remove propeller shaft, refer to 24 00 026
The output flange can no longer be removed from the
outside.
Transmission extension has to be removed for removal of
output flange.
Caution!
Until the design change comes into effect, the oil sump must
be removed in order to detach the transmission extension and
special tool 24 1 210 must be used for this; if not, the clutch
discs from multi-disc clutch F will slip out.
Because of this it is necessary to disassemble the
transmission,
refer to "Replacing multi-disc clutch F" 24 22 705
The need to use this special tool for removing the oil sump ceases
to apply with effect from:
transmission number: 112300
To attach special tool 24 1 210:
remove oil pan, refer to 24 11 008
Unscrew cover (1) from valve body.
Installation:
Tightening torque, refer to Technical Data 24 30 1AZ
