5 Series E34 525td (M51) TOUR
Prevent axial displacement by inserting special tool 24 1 210
between parking interlock gear and case.
Plates could slide out during removal of the transmission
extension.
Unscrew bolt on valve body.
Insert special tool 24 1 210 between the parking-position gear and
the casing and secure with bolt (1).
Both versions:
Unscrew cross member from body and transmission extension.
Unscrew bolts.
Installation:
Install guide (1) for cable holder.
Tightening torque, refer to Technical Data 24 11 1AZ
Pull off transmission extension.
Note spacer (1).
Replace O-Ring (2).
Knock back lock of slotted nut.
