5 Series E34 525td (M51) TOUR
Apply Special Tool 24 1 180 and clamp tight on converter support
shaft.
The oil pump housing is pressed out by turning spindle (1) in.
Lift out oil pump housing.
Remove Special Tool 24 1 180.
Calculate thickness of shim required:
If the oil pump housing is replaced or other work is carried out
which may affect axial clearance, it must be checked and
corrected if necessary.
Insert existing spacer disc (1), needle bearing (2), and thrust
washer (3) with collar facing the needle bearing.
Installation:
Note O-ring.
