Sealing adapter for air conditioning system
All models
Situation:
In some cases, the leak detector is not sufficient for checking the components of the air
conditioning system for leaks. Very fine leaks can, in part, not be detected with this device.
A leak can also not be located exactly if accessibility is impaired.
A sealing adapter has been developed in order to provide a clear indication of a defect in
the components also under these conditions. The air conditioning components
(compressor, condenser, evaporator if necessary with expansion valve and double tube)
can be tested in a water bath with this adapter type.
Refer to Enclosure 1.
This adapter type can only be used in conjunction with the tools and auxiliary materials
listed below:
1.
Nitrogen (in pressurized cylinders)
2.
Pressure gauge with minimum 20 bar output pressure
3.
Water-proof tray (minimum dimensions 50 x 60 mm, 75 mm high)
Note:
Particular care must be taken to ensure that national safety regulations are complied
with.
Members of staff must be instructed in the use and handling of pressurized containers
(gas cylinders) and nitrogen gas (risk of suffocation).
The information provided in the safety data sheet available from the gas supplier must
be observed.
Procedure:
This special tool is supplied only on order as a stock tool.
