Converting adapter cable 61 2 350 to "Z-coding"

Situation:

V-adapter cable 61 2 350 was introduced with the E87 in 2004 for diagnosis work. Please
refer to Service Information bulletin 02 05 04 120

.

To ensure that the adapter cable remains usable for other diagnosis work in the future (e.g.
trailer module on the E6x), the "A-coding" has to be removed. This means that the cost of
an additional V-adapter cable can be saved.

Detailed conversion instructions, please refer to Enclosure 1 .

Procedure:

All V-adapter cables 61 2 350 delivered before 07/2006 must be converted.

All V-adapter cables 61 2 350 supplied from 08/2006 already have "Z-coding" as
standard.
